Glen, I think the best solution to your leaking, probably sawed off at the wrong angle, too short a side road draft tube on your T Bird is to get rid of it. Seal up the
hole with a cover plate same as all T Bird Y Block engines were from the factory. Buy a PCV kit from Don Hyde Fordcraft (972-423-4636). Don will need to know which kind of carburetor base plate
you have, narrow for the 55,56 or the wide one for 57 and up. Since the engine in your car was yanked from some kind of passenger car, the valve chamber cover,(Valley Pan) probably does not have
a hole in the top of it for the PVC grommet but you can use a hole saw 1 5/16 inch diameter to cut a hole in the cover. Chose the location in reference to the hose and carb spacer supplied in the
PVC kit. I have done this PCV modification many times. Don Hyde can sell you the correct block off plate for the side of the engine as well. The cost of the PVC kit is about $45.
